Summerhill Scouts, Run 4
Once again, we waved goodbye to another group of Summer Hill students. This time round 4 campers developed a whole new range of skills. Campers acquired social and personal development awareness during our team building activities, but most importantly, they all challenged themselves by flying through the rainforests of Mae Rim!
A highlight for many of these campers was visiting Thai Elephant Care Centre. They enjoyed learning about what a day in the life of a Mahout involved. Campers worked with the Mahouts to prepare medicine and food for the elephants. They also fed them and were even able to bathe them in the river!
Our busy camp finally came to an end and what better way to reflect on our week’s activities than having a campfire? Campers enjoyed toasted marshmallows, birthday cake and singing the night away. We hope we left this lot of Summerhill students with many special memories of Thailand and we look forward to welcoming the next group!
