Our Junior Camp kickstarted with a lot of excited campers getting involved in decorating cloth bags with a lot of colourful paintings! We then let off some energy with parachute games, name games and other active games, to welcome everyone to a week of fun!
The week was focused on exploring the environment and finding out a little bit more about the natural world, whilst getting to know each other and making new friends. Our exploring took us on a big scavenger hunt down by the river, we visited the farm and found some macro-invertebrates, went to the Insect Museum, and even decorated bugs on biscuits! As well as exploring the natural world, we also got creative and learnt how to decoupage, tie dye using natural dyes like beetroot and turmeric, and made paper from Elephant poo!
We then joined the older campers for a wonderful campfire- with the usual fun and games, performances and marshmallows!
