A group of twelve Thai students, one Burmese student, four VSP staff and two English teachers came together for two weeks of fun in Chiang Mai to learn English and discover northern Thailand. The student from Burma joined us to improve her Thai skills instead of English.
Students took part in language classes every morning where they practised speaking, reading, writing and presentation skills on a variety of topics.
On campus they swam in our swimming pool, played in our games sala and took part in team building activities. They also went on off-campus trips to the Hall of Opium, Tha Ton, rock climbing and into Chiang Mai so they could practise their new language skills in real-life situations.
Some quotes from the students:
"I came here and I was very happy because it had a lot of good activities such as swimming and I really liked it very much. It made me excited and I enjoyed the activities. I had a great time here. And last I hope that we’ll have a good time of each other and it’ll stay in our memories forever." – Pooh
"I liked the low ropes because I think it was easy and exciting. I liked climbing because it was exciting and interesting. I liked the cooking because I enjoyed it and I think cooking is easy. Thank you for everything." - Noina
" Thank you for everything. I had a good time at the English camp because everyone is friendly and generous." - Tae
