Clean Air for Our Future
29 February - 1 March 2020
Take a deep breath. The air that fiils your lungs is needed to keep our bodies alive, yet the reality for many people in the North of Thailand and indeed around the world is that we inhale dangerous quantities of PM2.5. The Clean Air For Our Future Camp was the idea of teh Governor of CHiang Mai. It brought together students from Prem International School and four local Thai schools to learn about the casues and consequences of air pollution through expert speakers and environmental education games and exercises. The camp also swpet a 2.4km fire break in a local waterfall area.
But the weekend camp was just the start. Now, students have returned to their schools to work on an action project to reduce smoke in their community. We hope to develop this project and extend to more students in the months to come.
