Beehive Camp 2019
We were happy to welcome our first set of Beehive campers for a week of English learning, environmental games and exciting outdoor activities. On the first day, the Bee’s got busy in their quest to learn a variety of different survival knots which they then used to climb our walls. They spent the rest of their week attending English classes in the morning, and then participating in cultural activities in the afternoon. The Bee’s got to bathe and feed Elephants, make their own pizzas, care for the animals on our farm and even had the chance to make lip balm using the wax from other bees!
A highlight of their week was the Khantoke Dinner and Dance. We enjoyed a shared meal of delicious traditional Lanna food, while being stunned by dancers, drummers and daring fire performers!
As our Traidhos tradition follows, the camp was closed with a glowing campfire, toasted marshmallows, music and dance. As hard as it was to say goodbye, we were pleased to leave our Bee’s with certificates and reports from their classes. We wish them the best and hope that they flourish in their English language skills.
